Here are a couple of screenshots and comments about the new Klubitus forum version, currently in private beta. It’s still under heavy development, but the features look promising already. See below.

15min feed on the main page showing what’s happening currently on Klubitus. Very Facebook Newsfeed-like interface. Probably one of the biggest new features and definitely the most interesting. The navigation font looks awful, hopefully it isn’t the final version.

Events. Nice switch between new and updated events as well as the upcoming & past events. Similar info can be found on the footer, too (see below). Looks fine.

Forums. This looks like most beta. The font, line height & avatar combo requires lots of scrolling (I only see 5 topics on my Macbook screen without scrolling compared to 13 in the old version). Areas switch on the right hand side looks nice as well as the switch between new posts and topics.

One nice (very IRC-gallery-style) feature is a highlighted nick popup, which shows the profile picture.
All in all, new Klubitus looks very good – I’m hoping to see more innovative solutions like the main page which push the users to interact, browse and add more content. However, there’s still a lot to do to make the UI simpler, typography better and usability smarter. But – as said – it’s promising.
