Starting my label @absenceoffacts has been music-wise probably the best decision I have made. Without it, I could see myself chasing releases and creating music what other labels and other people are _expecting_ to get, not something I want to create.
And it’s not only about music – getting to choose (and shoot) the cover art, plan and execute the videos for each release and develop the label just as I see fit, is both challenging and time-consuming but meanwhile extremely rewarding. It’s something that releases on someone else’s label could never provide.
Absence of Facts sees its eleventh release today – two tracks that were produced in July while the heatwave struck Berlin hard. Proper hypnotic techno in a studio that was wayyy too hot :) Cover photo shot in equally hot Croatia, abandoned hotel near Dubrovnik airport.
