Liian usein DJ on turhaan korotettu rokkitähden asemaan ja laitettu aitojen ja järjestyksenvalvojarivien taakse korkealle stagelle esiintymään kauas yleisöstä. Tää hetki Joensuun Kerubissa summasi just sen, miten homman pitäisi aina mennä. DJ on juhlimassa yhdessä yleisön kanssa ja samanarvoinen osa sitä iltaa kuin yleisökin. Tähän kuvaan kiteytyy miksi mä rakastan paikkoja missä yleisö pääsee stagelle ja miksi pienet venuet usein pesee tunnelmaltaan Areena-keikat 100-0. 💪

This is what DJing is all about. Way too often are DJs raised to be rockstars and separated from the crowd by fences and meters of distance. This moment at Kerubi, Joensuu summed perfectly how things rather should go. DJ partying as an equal part of the crowd and WITH the crowd. This photo brilliantly shows why I love venues where the audience can enter the stage and why smaller venues often have way better atmosphere than huge arenas. 💪
