Juhannus! XmiXissä kuullaan juhannusbileitä vasten todella spesiaali miksaus. Viime keväänä löysin Berliinin päärautatieaseman edestä CD:n, joka sisälsi hävyttömän kovan miksauksen autenttista berliinisoundia. Olin yhteydessä miksauksen tekijään, Martin Strunkiin (Soundcloud, Facebook, Website), joka osoittautui erittäin mukavaksi kaveriksi, ja juhannuksen kunniaksi herralta kuullaan eksklusiivisesti Suomen bilekansalle tuotettu XmiX täynnä erittäin tiukkaa berliinijumppaa.

DJ Orionin ensimmäinen tunti tarjoilee puolestaan keskikesän juhliin ison luokan kattauksen. Soitossa on mm. uunituore raita Joonas Hahmolta, uusi remix Alex Kunnarin Lifter-biisistä, Tom Fall, Kristian Lindell, Super8&Tab, Maison&Dragen, uutta Kayan Codea sekä luonnollisesti Viikon Vinyylinä iso kesäklassikko muutaman vuoden takaa.

Artistiesittely – Neverland 2013

Neverland Festivaalin väki kirjoitti kivoja sanoja artistiesittelyssään.
Ootan tosi innolla tätä reissua – Oulussa on aina jäätävän hyvä meininki ja viime Neverlandeistä on kuulunut pelkkää hyvää. Näyttäisi myös, että tää keikka tulee olemaan uudella “Orion DJ/Live”-setupilla, joten musalinja on vahvasti teknoon kallellaan. Ja tekno on aina hienoo!

YleX:n virallinen viikonlopun startti tarjoilee tälläkin viikolla huiman määrän uutta elektronista musiikkia. DJ Orionin ensimmäisellä tunnilla soitossa mm. tuleva Shapeshiftersien albumi, Röyksoppia remiksattuna, tuoretta trancea Lope&Kantolalta, kaksi raitaa huimassa nosteessa olevalta Ilan Bluestonelta, hämmentävän artistinimen omaava Neo Kekkonen, YleX:n Tehonakin viihtyvä Koobra sekä tiukempaa vääntöä DJ Proteukselta.

Kesä! YleX:n perjantai-illassa juhlistetaan alkavia kesälomia kunniakkaalla suomikattauksella. Maailman ensi-illassa TJH87:n huikea uusi sinkku Deadlock, uutta musiikkia mm. Koobralta, Lope&Kantolalta, Something Goodilta, Lindell & Vuonnalalta ja Jeremy Folderolilta. Tarjolla lisäksi 90-luvun reiviä, klasaritrancea vuodelta 2001 sekä ripaus berliiniteknoa.

XmiXin ottaa haltuun kesän startiksi debyyttialbumiaan valmisteleva ja kotimaassa ja ulkomailla huikeassa nosteessa oleva Maison&Dragen. Oululais-turkulaisen kaksikon tuotanto on soinut ahkerasti YleX:n perjantai-illassa mm. uuden WOW-raidan myötä ja XmiXissä tarjoillaan tuoreimmat omat biisit ja mashupit miesten studiolta. Onko tässä Suomen elektronisen musiikin seuraava vientivaltti?
