YleX:n perjantai-ilta soi pitkästä aikaa Helsingistä käsin. Edellisyön Silja Europan YleXPop-klubilta tuodaan mukana paha haju ja juorut pikkutunneilta. DJ Orionin ensimmäisellä tunnilla lisäksi tuoreen musiikin muodossa suomisankarit TJH87, Lenno, Lovetone, Turismo, Maison & Dragen, 501, Madeon, Horzi sekä Substanced.

Vaikka lähetys soi Helsingistä, ollaan XmiXissä vahvasti Keski-Euroopan teknoklubien tunnelmissa. Kakkostunnista vastaa We Like -klubille saapuva Olivier Giacomotto erittäin groovella tech-house- ja teknomiksauksella. Haastattelussa ranskasankari kertoo välttyykö kukaan ranskalainen konemusiikko Daft Punkin vaikutukselta, ja fiilistelee luonnollisesti itse tulevaa Suomen debyyttivisiittiään.

Paluu Suomeen ja kesän/syksyn keikat

Heinäkuussa pitäisi sitten päättää Berliinin ekskursio ja palata Suomeen. Kivaa on, että jo tässä vaiheessa on varmistunut, että loppukesällä ja syksyllä tulee reissattua isosti pitkin kotimaata. Nähdään ainakin Lahdessa, Tampereella, Kajaanissa, Kalajoella, Raahessa, Turussa ja Helsingissä – ja lisää tulossa kunhan päästään lähemmäs kesää.

Odotan myös innolla, että pääsen kertomaan lisää erittäin mielenkiintoisesta uudesta klubiresidenssistä, joka alkaa syksyllä sekä fiiliksistä kesän ja syksyn myötä starttaavien “Orion DJ/Live”-keikkojen saralla.

YleX:n perjantai-ilta rantautuu tiukasti Saksan suunnalle, kun koko kaksi tuntia mennään berliiniläisten hostaajien seurassa. Ensimmäisellä tunnilla DJ Orionin soitossa uutta musiikkia mm. Trampboatilta, Lope & Kantolalta, Joonas Hahmolta sekä Super8&Tabilta. Kakkostunnin puolestaan ottaa haltuun Berliinin oma poika Paul van Dyk. Huhtikuun puolessa välissä Helsinkiin Whiteout-tapahtumaan rantautuva Paul on juuri julkaissut uuden remix-albuminsa (R)Evolution ja antaa XmiXissä esimakua tulevasta Suomen keikastaan.

Paul van Dykin XmiXin kunniaksi startataan myös kilpailu, jossa on mahdollisuus voittaa henkilökohtainen tapaaminen herran itsensä kanssa. Paul van Dyk antaa vastaavia meet&greet-mahdollisuuksia erittäin harvoin ja kyseessä on ensimmäinen kerta, kun yli 20 vuoden uran tehnyt trancesankari ottaa vastaan backstagella suomalaisia fanejaan. Voittajille lähtee meet&greetin lisäksi myös VIP-liput Whiteout-tapahtumaan.
