YleX:n klubimusiikin ohjelma livenä Berliinistä heinäkuusta alkaen

Love Parade 1999

Hyviä ja mielenkiintoisia uutisia. Ensi perjantaista 1.7.2011 alkaen YleX:n perjantai-illan klubimusiikin kaksituntinen kuullaan suorana lähetyksenä Berliinistä. Muutin juhannuksen tienoilla Saksaan ja mahdollisuutta lähetyksen tekemisestä suoraan Euroopan klubipääkaupungista on pyöritelty jo jonkin aikaa.

Kiitos YleX:n tuottajani Nooran sekä kansainvälisistä suhteista vastaavan Pirjon päättäväisyyden, Ylen kellarissa asuvien propellihattujen teknisen osaamisen ja Saksan kulttuuriradion (DRadio Kultur) yhteistyöhalukkuuden homma saatiin kasaan tänään päivällä viimeisen teknisen testin myötä ja tulevana perjantaina ääniaallot kantautuvat Saksasta käsin.

Samalla tehdään myös jonkin sortin historiaa, koska ohjelmasta tulee ensimmäinen YleX:n (ja Radio Mafian) ohjelma, jota tehdään säännöllisenä livelähetyksenä ulkomailta. Ohjelman pääpaino säilyy edelleenkin Suomen klubikulttuurissa ja esittelyssä on edelleen vahvasti tuore, kotimainen elektroninen musiikki.

YleX:n perjantain juhannustansseissa kuullaan eksklusiivinen XmiX belgialaiselta drum’n’bass-sankari Netskylta. Netsky kertoo haastattelussa musiikkitaustoistaan ja tulevista tuotannoista sekä fiilistelee Suomen visiittiään. Netsky nähdään Helsingin DTM:ssä 8.7.2011. Kuuntele Netskyn remix “Bright Lights”-kappaleesta.

Keskikesän juhlan ensimmäiselle tunnille on luvassa läjä uutta Suomi-soundia. This Saturday sees my last gig in Finland before moving to Berlin for two years. Yes, it won’t be long before coming back again, actually there are quite a few gigs already confirmed for the end of the summer and the autumn, but I can’t help thinking this as some sort of a farewell party.
And what would be more summery and better place to play the last beats as Finnish resident than the best outdoor summer club in town, Mixxed. Bio Rex terrace combined with music enthusiasts and 100% party people just can’t go wrong. I’ve witnessed the full-on party there when it’s been storming like crazy – and Mixxed is a great example you can really have a perfect summer club concept even though “Finnish summer” isn’t always weather-wise what we’d love to have :)

This one should be interesting and lots of fun. I’ll be playing my first (and probably the last;) hard nrg / hard trance set in 10 years or so. I was really into 160bpm+ music in the early 2000, but as I heard already back then, your age and slower bpm often go hand in hand :) But nevertheless, when asked, I felt really good digging the shelves for the old records (yes, this one will be 100% vinyl gig) and sorting out the Cannon, VCF, VCR, Tinrib, Stay Up Forever and Ef.adrine classics and tunes from Lab4, Choci, Mishka, Weirdo, Mauro Picotto and many more.

YleX:n perjantai-ilta jatkaa vankalla kesägroovella kun XmiX-deckkeihin tarttuu perjantaina Homegrove, Suomen johtava progressiivisen housen pyörittäjä. Raumalainen DJ on tuttu näky Suomen klubeilla puhuttiin sitten jatkobileiden pikkutunneista tai maailmantähtien lämmittelystä. Tunnin XmiXissä Homegrovelta kuullaan viimeisimmät tuulet housen, progen ja teknon saralta. Katso myös lyhyt keikkavideo Homegroven Danceteria-setistä.
