Maaliskuun viimeisessä perjantai-illassa YleX:llä soitossa mm. Faithless, Deadmau5 remiksaamassa Foo Fightersia, pari valintaa uudelta Gareth Emeryn remix-albumilta, Above & Beyondin uusi sinkku sekä suomalaiset Super8 & Tab, Beach X, Tom Fall, Rico Tubbs ja LAOS. Lisäksi haastattelussa Seinäjoella Fiksaatio-klubia luotsaava Toni Kurkimäki.
Viikon XmiXissä vaikuttaa helsinkiläiskaksikko Bright Shades, joka pyöräyttää huiman 80- ja 90-lukuvaikutteilla maustetun housesetin. Tämän hetken kotimaisen houseskenen näkyvimpiin nousijoihin kuuluva kaksikko kertoo kuulumiset studiosta ja luovii XmiXissä sujuvasti mm. HIMin, TV Offin, Robynin, Daft Punkin, Lennon ja Diana Rossin musiikkia yhdistellen.
Ohjelma on kuultavissa jälkikäteen Ylen Areenalla viikon ajan.

Dj Orion & J. Shore – Architect’s Dream (EA2 Dub) by solarstone
Two years ago this month Solarstone released the compilation album ‘Electronic Architecture’. It was nominated for Best Compilation at the 2010 IDMAs and won press plaudits for its imaginative concept, with Tilllate hailing it as “a magical blend of music, art and design” and DJ Mag calling it “a genuine gem”.
Now the follow up to the boundary breaking compilation adventure is near. “Electronic Architecture²” captures the essence of what we all love about trance” says MIXMAG. The compilation will be released on 25.4.2011.
DJ Orion & J.Shore – Architect’s Dream will be a closing track of the whole compilation. Naturally, we are incredibly happy and proud to be part of one of the most unique and original electronic music compilations of today.

I don’t know if you saw this one already, it’s been all over internet for a week or so. A new Justice track and a new Adidas commercial. Some have been saying they don’t want a sports ad, they just want to D.A.N.C.E, but I’d say this one here is brilliant. Can’t wait for the upcoming album.

YleX:n illassa ensisoitossa pianjulkaistava Hybridin sinkku, Timo Juutin bootleg-versio Alan Braxen ja Fred Falke ranskahouseklassikko “Introsta”, Solarstonen tuleva uusi raita Big Wheel ja uusintasoitossa viime viikolta huikea Thomas Feijkin Buzz Kill. Biisivieraana Alex Kunnari, haastattelussa Sergei Shkuroff ja viikon vinyyli trancen kultaiselta vuodelta 1999. Lisäksi soitossa The Prodigy, Ferry Corsten, Ronski Speed, Something Good, Lovetone ja Filo & Peri.
Viikon XmiXissä siirrytään koko tunniksi trancen maisemiin. Progempaa soundia, ajavaa trancea ja klassikoita sulavasti XmiXissään yhdistelevä Jussi Soro kuuluu kotimaan näkyvimpiin trancenimiin ja vaikuttaa aktiivisena klubipromoottorina Turussa. Miksauksen lisäksi kuullaan myös miehen kuulumiset ja otetaan katsaus länsirannikon teknoskeneen.

Perjantaina 11.3. YleX:n illassa soitossa uusi Above & Beyond -sinkku, tuoretta remiksiä Redankalta ja Pete Tongilta ja uutta tranceosastoa Suomeen viikonloppuna saapuvalta Langelta. Suomalaisista ensisoitossa erittäin vahva uusi raita Thomas Feijkiltä ja uusinnassa Our Stolen Theory ja Michael Cassette. Lisäksi soi kesäinen Viikon Vinyyli vuodelta 1998 ja muistellaan menneen viikonlopun musiikkitunnelmia lyhyellä Pacifique 2011 -biisiselektiolla.
Viikon XmiXissä kuullaan tunnin verran Suomen näkyvimpiin drum’n’bass -kokoonpanoihin kuuluvaa LAOSia. LAOS eli Large Amount Of Soul pyöräyttää huikean 25 raidan junkka-XmiXin ohjelman toiselle tunnille. Lisäksi kuullaan mm. Panda Style -raidan synnystä ja valotetaan LAOSin diplomatiasuhteita DJ Burmaan.
LAOS nähdään ensi kesänä livenä Ilosaarirockissa kokoonpanon ensimmäisellä festarikeikalla.
