Suomen klubikansa kerääntyy viikonlopuksi juhlimaan kaikkien aikojen suurinta kotimaista elektronisen musiikin tapahtumaa, Summer Sound Festivalia. YleX:n perjantai-ilta on tunnelmissa mukana ja tarjoilee viikonlopulle erinomaisen etkoilupaketin. DJ Orionin ensimmäisellä tunnilla soitossa mm. suomalaiset Something Good, Lovetone ja Detuned sekä ulkomaisista Ronski Speed, Alter Ego, Major Lazer ja Judge Jules.

200 episodes of DJ Orion’s podcast

It’s been incredible 7 years of DJ Orion’s podcast.
The first episodes were casted in October, 2005 and now it’s time for the 200th episode.

I know, some busier podcasters would have made it to the magic 200 faster than in 7 years, but as far as I know, this is probably the oldest Finnish DJ podcast which gives a perfect excuse for the lack of episodes during the first years. Who even knew in 2005 what a podcast is?

I want to give my humblest thank-yous to all of you who have been listening and downloading the music during all these years. And especially you who have subscribed to the podcast on iTunes – you’ve been keeping the podcast on Finnish iTunes Music Store’s Music Podcast TOP10 for several years already. And that’s just amazing.

YleX:n perjantai-ilta 20.07.2012 kuullaan livenä Suomen Kajaanista. DJ Orion nappaa Kainuun studioon mukaansa Pohjois-Suomen vaikutusvaltaisimpiin kuuluvan DJ Kaasin ja kurkistaa livelähetyksessä mitä kuuluu Pohjois-Suomen skenelle. Ensimmäisellä tunnilla soitossa mm. suomalaiset Something Good, Sami Saari, Lovetone ja Rico Tubbs sekä ulkomaita edustavat Above&Beyond, Andy Moor, Xilent, Rusko, Tantrum Desire ja Knife Party. Lisäksi Heikki L julkistaa puhelinhaastattelussa Summer Sound Festival -skaban voittajan.

Toisella tunnilla XmiXin valtaa maailman kenties menestynein DJ, hollantilainen Armin van Buuren. Helsingin Summer Sound Festivalia tähdittämään saapuva mies kertoi haastattelussa tunnelmiaan Suomesta ja otti myös kantaa Paris Hiltonin DJ-uraan. XmiXissä kuullaan tunnin livenauhoitus Arminin Yhdysvaltain kiertueelta.

Kaksituntinen on kuultavissa jälkikäteen Ylen Areenalla kuukauden ajan.

Ensimmäisellä tunnilla startataan myös Summer Sound Festival -skaba, jossa on jaossa 2 kolmen päivän lippua festareille. Helsingin Messukeskuksen lavoille 27.7.-29.7. nousevat muun muassa Avicii, Armin van Buuren ja Tiesto, sekä joukko muita kotimaisia ja ulkomaisia tiskijukkia. Tapahtuma on kaikkien aikojen isoin Suomessa järjestetty klubimusiikkifestivaali.

XmiXin tarjoilee huikeaa kansainvälistä suosiota nauttiva brittiherra Andy Moor, joka on pitkästä urastaan huolimatta vasta noin viikko sitten julkaissut debyyttialbuminsa. Haastattelussa käydään läpi mm. DJ Orkidean kanssa yhdessä tehdyn raidan taustoja, ja XmiXissä kuullaan otteita tuoreelta albumilta. Myös Andy Moor nähdään Summer Sound Festivalin artistikattauksessa.

Kaksituntinen on kuultavissa jälkikäteen Ylen Areenalla kuukauden ajan.

YleX:n perjantai-iltojen heinäkuun tanssit aloitetaan kahden tunnin kattauksella tuoretta tanssimusiikkia. DJ Orionin kaksituntisessa kuullaan perjantaina 06.07.2012 useita ensi-iltasoittoja kotimaisilta suuruuksilta. Lautasilla mm.
