Through the lens

It’s been 6 years I first tested my “spaceship” controller DJ/Live hybrid setup and successfully toured and regularly performed with it for 3-4 years. Getting today to @nativeinstruments Berlin headquarters to test and give feedback of their upcoming products was suuuper inspiring. Big thanks to @anniekokko and the team for the possibility and all the hospitality. 🎵🎵

Berliini. Miten hieno on lauantai, jonka saa aloittaa käymällä 70.000 päivittäisen kävijän Lollapalooza-festareilla toteamassa, että undergroundin lisäksi Berliinissä(kin) myös tavanomainen pop-kulttuuri elää ja voi hyvin. Perään ulkoilmakekkereihin, jotka suljettiin yleisöltä juuri ennen paikalle saapumista ja oman järjenjuoksun mukaan laittomiin kekkereihin voi mennä sisään myös laittomasti. Aidan yli siis ja tanssimaan. Muutaman tunnin jälkeen kontrastia hakemaan Eiswerkissä pidetyiltä Berlin Biennale -festarin päättäjäisjatkoilta, jossa aivan keskustassa joutomaalla sijaitsevaan varastohalliin oli rakennettu hyvä housejuhla. Siitä taksilla tarkistamaan 30 ihmisen drum’n’bass -kekkerit Friedrichshainissa ja lopulta Rummels Buchtiin, johon sisäänpääsy vaati salasanan (“Boah, Krass!”) ja jonka peilipallo oli vuorattu pehmoleluilla. Nyt on maanantaiaamu ja olo lauantain jatkoksi vedetyn sunnuntaijuhlinnan jälkeen on myös melko pehmoleluinen. 🐻 📸: @upihelsinki
