YleX:n perjantai-illassa tarjoillaan iso kattaus maailmanluokan musiikkia, kun XmiX-soitinten äärelle saapuu huikeaa kansainvälistä suosiota nauttiva Super8&Tab. Haastatteluun tavoitettu DJ Tab kertoo lempisupersankaristaan, kaksikon viimeisimmästä Fiesta-sinkusta, jatkoista EDC-festarin jälkeen sekä avaa verhoa pian starttaavan Empire-klubin tiimoilta.

DJ Orionin ensimmäinen tunti kattaa pöytään jälleen kasapäin uutta musiikkia. Soitossa mm. Gotye, Daft Punk, Mason, Super8&Tab, Kai Harmaala, Phase One, Tom Fall, L.A.O.S, AMPR, Doctor P sekä Matrix & Futurebound. Lisäksi startataan Empire-skaba, jossa jaossa 2 VIP-lippua Super8&Tabin Empire-klubin avajaisiin.

Fantasia 2012, Saturday 25.08.2012

This weekend sees one of the most exciting club concepts in Finland. Tropiclandia spa in Vaasa hosts a seven hour club event “Fantasia” with crazy amount of Finnish DJ talents and music lovers.

I’ve had the honor to join the craziness during the last two years and I’m more than happy to have the third one to go. I’ll be closing the main stage with a one hour set at 00:15-01:30 with some of the musical highlights of the past summer.

While waiting for Saturday to happen, check their Facebook event, see the video of last year and some photos.

And if you’re feeling lucky, YleX is giving out tickets on their morning show as well as in the web competition.

YleX:n perjantai-ilta luo jälleen katsauksen kotimaan tuoreimpaan klubisoundiin. Ensimmäisellä tunnilla edustettuna ovat mm. suomalaiset Steve Lade, Heavyweight, Lenno, Super8&Tab ja Trampboat sekä ulkomaan ihmeet Pendulum, Lange, Talla2XLC, Matrix & Futurebound ja The Prodigy.

Ensimmäisellä tunnilla käynnistetään myös Fantasia-skaba, jossa jaossa kuusi lippua Vaasan kylpyläbileisiin.

Toisella tunnilla dekkeihin tarttuu kolminkertainen Suomen DJ-SM -skabojen mestari, DJ Sampl. Noin 20 keikkaa kuukaudessa tehtaileva herra pyöräytti todella kovan bilesetin XmiXiä varten ja kertoo haastattelussa miten voitto SM-skaboissa heltisi.

YleX:n perjantai-illassa tanssitaan jälleen tuoreen suomisoundin tahdeissa. DJ Orionin ensimmäisellä tunnilla esittelyssä on Super8&Tabin tuleva sinkku ja mm. kotimaiset kollegat Something Good, Alex Kunnari, Tom Fall, 501, Physics, Mick Elsa ja Kajis. Ulkomaalaisista soittoon päätyvät mm. Arty, Astrix, Trampboat, Drumsound, DC Breaks ja Adam F. Lisäksi julkistetaan Weekend-skaban voittaja.

Toisella tunnilla dekkeihin tarttuu Porvoon lahja Suomen houseskenelle. Tony Jaguar on noussut lyhyessä ajassa myös ulkomaisten tuottajien huulille ja julkaisee ahkerasti musiikkia ympäri maailmaa. XmiXissä Tonyn soundi pysyttelee tiukasti erittäin grooven tech-housen maisemissa ja haastattelussa otetaan selvää miltä näyttää Porvoon yöelämä.

YleX:n perjantai-ilta lähtee liikkeelle elokuuhun vahvalla kahden tunnin kattauksella. Ensimmäisellä tunnilla kuullaan DJ Orionin setti viime viikonlopun Summer Sound Festivalilta. Setissä on mukana niin julkaisemattomia Suomi-helmiä mm. Lovetonelta ja Thomas Feijkiltä kuin trancepuolen klassikoita BT:ltä ja Tiestoltakin. Lisäksi startataan Weekend-festivaalin skaba, jossa jaossa kaksi lauantaipäivän lippua festarille.

Toisella tunnilla soittimiin tarttuu tamperelainen ison luokan drum’n’bass -pyörittäjä Wispy. 55 minuutin XmiXiinsä huikeat 36 raitaa ahtanut levytaituri kertoo haastattelussa miten rikkobiitti toimi metsäbileissä, jossa tanssimassa oli tuhatmäärin partiolaisia ja kertaa tiukimmat kotimaiset junkkakekkerit tulevilta viikoilta. Wispyn XmiXissä soivat mm. Netsky, Danny Byrd, Noisia, Camo&Krooked, Sub Focus, High Contrast jne…

Suomen klubikansa kerääntyy viikonlopuksi juhlimaan kaikkien aikojen suurinta kotimaista elektronisen musiikin tapahtumaa, Summer Sound Festivalia. YleX:n perjantai-ilta on tunnelmissa mukana ja tarjoilee viikonlopulle erinomaisen etkoilupaketin. DJ Orionin ensimmäisellä tunnilla soitossa mm. suomalaiset Something Good, Lovetone ja Detuned sekä ulkomaisista Ronski Speed, Alter Ego, Major Lazer ja Judge Jules.

200 episodes of DJ Orion’s podcast

It’s been incredible 7 years of DJ Orion’s podcast.
The first episodes were casted in October, 2005 and now it’s time for the 200th episode.

I know, some busier podcasters would have made it to the magic 200 faster than in 7 years, but as far as I know, this is probably the oldest Finnish DJ podcast which gives a perfect excuse for the lack of episodes during the first years. Who even knew in 2005 what a podcast is?

I want to give my humblest thank-yous to all of you who have been listening and downloading the music during all these years. And especially you who have subscribed to the podcast on iTunes – you’ve been keeping the podcast on Finnish iTunes Music Store’s Music Podcast TOP10 for several years already. And that’s just amazing.
