– The first 10 tracks are now in digital form. Whee. The first digitalized track was BT – Flaming June (BT & PvD mix).
– Grado DJ200 sound quality is amazing. I’m VERY satisfied with it. It’s worth every cent.
– Before starting to record, I tried a couple of programs:
* Sample Manager for normalizing. Very good, but very expensive. No use, sorry.
* Final Vinyl. Only for use with iGriffin products. No thanks.
* Analogue Ripper had nice features – iTunes support, track splitting etc. However, the user interface was horrible. The price, 30 dollars, was ok, but the usability was that poor that I decided not to pay.
– Finally I ended up using Audacity. The normalizing feature was very poor so no normalizing until I find a better software. Recommendations?
– As I mentioned in the comments of the previous entry, I decided to make two copies of the tracks: One .wav copy for playing and archiving purposes and .mp3 copy for portable music players and iTunes music library.
– I need a new hard drive.

Did you know that the first Love Parade was organized by a group of friends, and it had a participation of less than a hundred people? And what happened… Now is your change to be a part of history in the making. Unity Posse is organizing the first ever One Minute Rave happening this Friday, that’s tomorrow (barely!). The rave will last from 18.00 to 18.01.

After a very long time I came up with a flyer which made me look twice. This digital copy looks a bit lame, but a paper version really rocks. No glossy paper, no spot colours or fancy fonts. Just a cool idea and very good looking graphics. Definitely the flyer of the month. I’m happy people still make stuff like this.

It has already been everybody’s little secret for a while – until a big German daily newspaper reported about the city of Essen being the next stage for Love Parade.

Since the last minutes Love Parade company stuck to July 7th being the appointed day. When introducing Essen they also changed their date which is now August 25th. A police report about security requirements is still pending and could in fact stir up everything though.

Suomen Viihderavintolat on ostanut Iso Roobertinkadulla sijaitsevat Beetroot ja Rosegarden ravintolat. Ravintoloiden liiketoiminta siirtyy 1.6 Suomen Viihderavintoloille.
Toiminta jatkuu entisellään kesä- ja heinäkuun ajan.
Elokuuksi Rosegarden menee remonttiin ja avataan syyskuussa uudella nimellä ja klubikonseptilla.
1.6 lukien häviää Rosegarden nimi kokonaan ko.tilasta.
Otamme väliaikaisesti käyttöömme ravintolan alkuperäisen rekisterinimen, O’neills.
Beetrootiin ei tule muutoksia ja se jatkuu entisellään.Ravintolanjohtajana aloittaa Kadri Hautamäki ja ohjelmapäällikkönä Taru Kokkonen, joka vastaa myös koko yritysketjun ohjelmasta.

Muistatko, kirjoittaja, kun koulussa opetettiin yhdyssanoja ja -merkkejä? Yhdeksän pilkku- tai yhdyssana/-merkkivirhettä puolessatoista lauseessa?!
Oikeasti. Niin siisti juttu kuin klubien linjausten uusiminen ja eteenpäinvieminen onkin, niin uudistushenkisyyttä huokuvan markkinointipaketin voisi edes antaa oikoluettavaksi. Pro-imago karisi nopeasti huonon soomen myötä.
