This Saturday marks the date for a super exciting looking club concept in Lahti. I’m really looking forward catching the plane and joining in – last time I was in Lahti the party was nothing but excellent (see video of Orkidea’s 20 Tour in Lahti).

Ministry Of Sun Cruise starts at the harbour of Lahti at 18:30 giving the party people a proper sunset experience with Ministry Of Sound’s Gavyn Mytchel, Jayvee & J7 and me headlining. More information about the cruise on Facebook (there should be still some tickets available).

The main event starts at Senssi, Lahti at 22:00 and should be nothing short of brilliant. During the past year 2Ibiza possé have proved to be one of the most forward thinking, interesting and innovative new promoters in Finland and I’m really happy having the possibility to finally join in.

Äänestä alkuvuoden 2012 paras XmiX

YleX:n perjantain myöhäisillassa on alkuvuoden 2012 aikana kuultu kaikkiaan 21 XmiX-vierasmiksausta. Ajankohtaisinta ja parasta klubimusiikkia ovat tarjoilleet niin kotimaiset DJ-sankarit kuin maailmankuulut DJ-tähdetkin.

Kerro kenen XmiX oli mielestäsi alkuvuoden 2012 paras.

Kahdeksan vastaajaa saa itselleen joko Proteuksen uuden mix-kokoelman Electronic Overdrive tai Orionin ja Lovetonen miksaaman Whiteout-tapahtuman virallisen kokoelman.

YleX:n perjantai-illassa tarjoillaan jälleen huima määrä uutta tanssimusiikkia. Katsauksessa tuore Eric Prydzin debyyttialbumi, eksklusiivisessa ensisoitossa julkaisematon 501:n remix Nelly Furtadolle, tuoretta kotimaista Hemo DJsilta, Lennolta, Timewavelta ja Heavyweight DJsilta sekä viikon kovat drum’n’bass -raidat. Mukana Berliini-tunnelmissa myös Setä Tamu. Ensimmäisellä tunnilla jaetaan ensimmäiset Whiteout- ja Proteus-CD:t XmiX-kilpailussa. Vielä ehtii osallistua.

XmiXin ottaa haltuun brittiläinen trancesoundin veteraani Solarstone, joka on juuri julkaissut uuden “Pure”-nimeä kantavan albuminsa. Solarstone kertoo haastattelunsa tiukan mielipiteensä tämän päivän trancesoundista, ennakoi tulevia musiikkitrendejä sekä tietenkin ylistää suomalaisia naisia. XmiXissä kuullaan otteita uudelta albumilta sekä Solarstonen näkemys aidosta trancesoundista.

Ohjelma on livelähetys Berliinistä.

Kaksituntinen on kuultavissa jälkikäteen Ylen Areenalla viikon ajan.

YleX:n perjantai-ilta huipentuu uuden klubimusiikin kattaukseen 18.05.2012. DJ Orionin laukussa uusi raita Eric Prydzin tulevalta albumilta, tuoretta suomisoundia Tom Fallilta, Maison & Dragen -duolta, Hector87:lta sekä J.Karjalaiselta (tä?). Lähetyksessä julkistetaan lisäksi The Prodigy-kilpailun voittajat ja startataan uusi XmiX-kilpailu.

XmiXissä kuullaan tunnin miksaus yhdeltä Suomen drum’n’bass -skenen ykköstykeistä, DJ Physicsiltä. Mies on levyttänyt mm. Goldien Metalheadz-levymerkille ja kertoo haastattelussa mietteitä tulevasta kakkosalbumistaan. Kesän aikana Physicsiä nähdään dekkien takana mm. Iso-Britanniassa ja Venäjällä, Suomea unohtamatta. XmiXissä Physics tarjoilee ajankohtaista drum’n’bass-soundia omilla julkaisuilla höystettynä.

YleX:n perjantai-illan XmiXissä palataan kultaiselle 90-luvulle. Tamperelainen pitkän linjan DJ Meke pyöräyttää perjantai-illan viimeiselle tunnille kattauksen 90-luvun rave- ja hardtrance-soundia klassikoilla höystettynä ja kertoo haastattelussa mikä pitää yhä vuosien jälkeen kiinni jo lähes 20 vuotta vanhasta musiikkityylistä.

Toukokuun ensimmäisen XmiXin tarjoilee helsinkiläinen DJ-kollektiivi Heavyweight DJs, jonka housesoundi on lyhyessä ajassa valloittanut Suomen ja tulevan kesän aikana tähdätään jo Dubaihin asti. Yksi tämän hetken kirkkaimpia nousukkaita housemusiikin saralla tarjoilee XmiXissä lukuisia eksklusiiviraitoja sisältävän setin ja kertoo haastattelussa miten piilopullo saadaan lavalle tiukkojen alkoholilakien Dubaissa.

DJ Orionin ensimmäisellä tunnilla esittelyssä mm. 17-vuotias suomalainen tulokas Miste, Jesse Oliverin remix Pariisin Kevät -yhtyeelle, tuore raita Joonas Hahmolta, uusintasoitossa viime viikon hitti Timo Vaittiselta ja erikoisannos drum’n’bassia.

Ohjelma on livelähetys Berliinistä.
